How to Travel When You Have No Money and No Time

Ok, so already the title of this article has set a pretty defeatist attitude. But really, I am a graduate student who works two jobs...the last thing that really works into my budget or schedule. But you know what? I have no excuse for complaining. I live in New York. There are a million places just a train ride away where I can go to experience new cultures and lifestyles without spending much money. So i have finally realized this, and now it is time for me to make it happen. So here we go...a brief tour around the world. Well, sort of. 

Every week I plan to hop on a train, bus, cab, petty cab (no not really, they sort of creep me out) to check out a neighborhood, event, mass demonstration, or anything else that involves me not sitting in my apartment watching tv online. .
